Contact Form 7 for wordpress is an amazing plugin, not only because it has the number “7″ in it, but also because it makes adding a contact form ridiculously easy. I can tell you right now that it works with all versions of Headway and you don’t have to do anything special to get it to work.
How to Install Contact Form 7 on Headway Blogs
The first thing you need to do is download the plugin. It’s free and found in the WordPress repository, so if you know how to install it from within the dashboard, go for it.
Once you’ve downloaded the plugin, use the plugin installer to upload the plugin. Then activate it. That’s all there is for installation!
Usage
Your contact form is automatically created when you activate the plugin, so if you don’t need any special fields, you can just head to the new “contact” tab in your dashboard and copy the code in brown. It looks like this (with brackets):
contact-form 1 "Contact form 1"
Now comes the tricky part: This code only works in post or page content. That means that if you’ve been trying to add it to an HTML/Text leaf it won’t work. You have to add it to a text widget or directly into a post or page.
How to Create a “Contact” Page
Go to Pages–>Add New in your wordpress administration dashboard. Name the page “contact” and then paste the form code into the page. Again, it looks like this (with brackets):
contact-form 1 "Contact form 1"
Now hit “publish” and you’re good to go. It’s that simple!
